Chrome To Deprecate ‘PNaCl,’ Embrace New ‘WebAssembly’ Standard

Google announced that Portable Native Client (PNaCl) technology will be deprecated in Chrome in the first quarter of 2018. The company will focus its efforts on supporting the new web standard and PNaCl alternative, called "WebAssembly."
