Windows 7 Suffers ‘Total Meltdown’ Thanks To Microsoft’s Meltdown Patch

Security researcher Ulf Frisk announced that Microsoft's patch for Meltdown on 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 caused an even bigger security issue by allowing any user-level process on a system to read and write memory contents.
