Trapped Ion Quantum Computers Become Viable With Large Speed Increase

Researchers from the University of Oxford announced a breakthrough in increasing the speed of trapped ion quantum computers from 20 to 60 times. This large speed increase should allow for the creation of a viable trapped ion quantum computer.
